SAWGBP has partnered with Macadams Baking Systems Ltd of South Africa to supply mobile container bakeries. The use of prefabricated fully equipped bakeries is cost effective and creates a model easily repeatable in different parts of South Africa and beyond.
The SAWGBP funds the container bakeries through private investment, grants, and inkind donations. In time it is envisioned that the bakeries will be self-sufficient and income generating. Sales from the bakeries directly to consumers will contribute to the self sufficiency of the business. Distribution of the bakery products to hospices, local HIV/Aids programs, orphanages and supported schools will be subsidized in order to provide nutritional bread products to these underserved
